About SteadyRetire

Who we are

SteadyRetire is a retirement education website designed to help people understand retirement and get their finances in order, whether retirement is decades away, just around the corner, or already part of everyday life.

Owned and operated by SteadyRetire, LLC, we bring together retirement information, practical resources, and access to financial advisor matching. Our purpose is to help you make sense of your options, ask informed questions, and take your next step with greater confidence.

Retirement planning can start at any age

You don’t have to be approaching retirement to start thinking about it. And once you retire, financial decisions don’t stop.

SteadyRetire is for people at every stage. Our articles cover retirement saving, accounts and workplace plans, Social Security, retirement income, taxes, estate planning, and the financial side of health, housing, and everyday life.

We explain these topics in accessible language so you can better understand how they relate to your own questions and priorities.

Who creates our content

Our articles are researched, written, and edited by MediaFeed, an independent company specializing in brand publishing, syndication, distribution, and content creation. SteadyRetire conducts a final review and publishes the articles.

Every article is written, edited, and published by humans. Our contributors are writers and journalists who turn financial research into clear, useful information.

How we approach our articles

We primarily rely on primary sources: information published directly by the agencies and organizations responsible for the rules, programs, or standards being discussed. These include the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), CFP Board, and the Federal Register.

Our goal is to help readers understand financial topics and the questions they may want to explore further. Our articles provide general educational information, rather than personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

SteadyRetire does not receive payment to write articles. Our articles do not contain paid endorsements or serve as endorsements of particular financial advisors, firms, products, or services.

How SteadyRetire makes money

SteadyRetire currently earns revenue through financial advisor matching. We receive compensation when a reader completes the full financial advisor matching quiz and is matched with an advisor.

We are not paid based on whether that reader subsequently hires an advisor, transfers assets, or takes any other action outside SteadyRetire.

This matching arrangement is our current revenue model. It is separate from our article production: we do not accept payment in exchange for writing articles.

Finding a financial advisor

For readers interested in professional help, SteadyRetire offers access to a financial advisor matching quiz.

A match is a starting point for your own evaluation. Before choosing an advisor, consider their qualifications, services, fees, and whether their approach fits your needs.
